Volunteer
Volunteers play an integral role in the services we provide to participants and the community. We are thankful for the commitment volunteers make to our team and rely on their dedication to maintain high standards of learning and supportive services. Many opportunities are available to work with us.

3. ORIENT
Orientations occur once per month. This is a time for you to become more familiar with TCR! and learn about your role with us.

Opportunities for Individuals
- Administrative Assistant—Assist with paperwork, filing, folder making, data entry, mailings, etc.
- Grant Researcher—Work with the Development Department to research grant opportunities.
- Instructor Assistant—Assist TCR! Instructors in the classroom, work one-on-one with participants who need help.
- Mock Interviewer—Conduct practice interviews with participants.
- Professional Services—Provide legal, advertising, public relations, consulting, and/or internet services.
- Speaker—Speak to TCR! classes about business experiences, employer expectations and other topics relevant to the specific class in order to reinforce the concepts being taught.
- Special Event Planner—Help with TCR!’s events during the year.
- Toastmaster Volunteer - Help to facilitate a Toastmaster meeting. Provide educational speeches, evaluations, and support and encouragement to participant speakers.
- Tutor—Assist participants with understanding Computer Applications, Writing, Math, or Resume Writing.
- Workshop Facilitator—Plan and present a one-time 2 hour workshop on a topic relevant to employment or skill development during the 2 week intersession.
Opportunities for Groups
- Mock Interview Event – Conduct practice interviews and give job-preparation advice in a real-world business environment. Mock interview events are typically 2-3 hour long and include a business overview, mock interviews, a tour, networking.
